FICS® Hosts 36th Annual Users' Conference, Excited to be Back in Person

DALLAS, TX – Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS®), a leading mortgage loan origination software, residential servicing software and commercial servicing software provider, recently hosted its 36th Annual Users’ Conference in Dallas. The April conference had almost 250 lenders, servicers, and other industry partners attending.

In her keynote speech, Susan Graham, president and COO of FICS®, discussed how FICS® has adapted its software and business processes to meet pandemic-related challenges, while remaining true to its purpose. “We’ve updated our software to support eClosings, accommodate COVID-related forbearance and regulatory changes, expand functionality to allow for greater efficiencies, and further strengthen our support to customers,” said Graham. “Our purpose is to empower our customers to be competitive in the industry by disentangling the mortgage process. This includes finding new and better ways to make your day-to-day work more efficient, effective, and compliant.”

During the conference, FICS’ customers enjoyed live demonstrations of new product features and enhancements as well as educational sessions surrounding regulatory changes affecting the mortgage industry. Special sessions featured comprehensive overviews of the system functionality in Loan Producer®, Commercial Servicer® and Mortgage Servicer®. Fannie Mae® representatives discussed post purchase adjustments, streamlining investor reporting with the Loan Servicing Data Utility (LSDU), and master servicing portfolio manager self-serve capabilities. A DocMagic® representative demonstrated how their eClosing solution (Total eClose™) integrates with Loan Producer® to support hybrid and completely electronic eClosings.

FICS® employees and customers shared best practices via workshops, open forums, and informal conversations. Kim Wortham, Mortgage Manager for Pioneer Federal Credit Union, who attended the conference for the first time, said, “What an amazing conference! In addition to presenting us with new system information and upcoming updates, the conference was a phenomenal opportunity to network with fellow financial institutions that utilize the same systems we do. We were inspired by the information and are working diligently to implement new processes that we discovered. We look forward to attending again next year!”

Stephenie Stolk, Mortgage Servicing Manager for OnPoint Credit Union, said, “It was nice to have this year’s conference back in person. The connections made with FICS® staff and other users are priceless. We’ve been FICS® users for over 20 years. I’m impressed with the strides taken to ensure the FICS® products are compliant and user-friendly. FICS® seems to take pride in the relationships they build with clients, and it shows in the enhancements showcased at the conferences. Every time I think we utilize the system to its fullest, FICS® presents more updates and valuable information. I’m always excited to see what is presented at each year’s conference.”

The 2024 Users’ Conference will be held April 10th – 12th in Dallas.
