Trainee Testimonials

"When I graduated from college in May 2020, I truly had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. This new chapter—finding a job—was overwhelming for me. FICS’ training program gave me the opportunity to continue spreading my wings. I did not have any mortgage knowledge, nor did I go to school for anything related to this industry. However, the training program managers, Shalecia and Sherri, assured me that mortgage experience wasn’t all they were looking for in an employee. Throughout the training program, I learned about mortgage origination and servicing through Mortgage Bankers Association courses, along with classes and hands-on training in FICS’ applications. Shalecia and Sherri assured me that over time the learning continues to grow deeper and being able to retain it and assist customers only gets better. I was placed in the Commercial Servicer® department in great hands to work with Sharon Wilson and gain firsthand experience helping customers learn the ins and outs of our commercial servicing software. I found what my strengths are when it comes to teaching and presenting, providing customer service, and evolving with the applications as updates are made. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to grow within this company and to those who make FICS® what it is today."

Brenee Ellis, FICS® Commercial Servicer® System Support

"As a recent college graduate, I tremendously appreciated the opportunity to experience FICS's training program. Without any prior experience, I was given a thorough introduction to the mortgage industry while attending specialized training for the software FICS® develops. The program was not only a way for the company to evaluate my skill set and strengths--it was also a way for me to appraise the company and its familial culture. Throughout the program, Shalecia, Sherri, and Billy rigorously assessed my aptitude, proficiencies, and expertise, then carefully situated me in a position in the Technical Support department where I can perform to the best of my abilities and interests. I have the utmost respect and gratitude to them for fitting me where I belong in the company."
