FICS^® Receives Exemplary Ratings in Compliance Vulnerability Assessment Audit From IBM^® Security Services for the Eighth Consecutive Year

Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS), a provider of loan origination software, residential servicing software and commercial servicing software for the mortgage industry, has earned the best possible rating from IBM Security Services and IBM X-Force^® for the eighth consecutive year.  FICS’ Web products all earned an overall rating of “Low” in the Application Security Assessment, indicating high levels of standards used to assess, manage and mitigate business risk.

The Application Security Assessment’s comprehensive vulnerability analysis enables FICS to improve its existing security framework, preventing unwanted intrusions internally, as well as on the host provider’s network boundary.  From compliance testing to ethical hacking, the annual audit preemptively tests for known vulnerabilities, in addition to best practice security architecture.  IBM’s continued testing, reporting, and tracking of vulnerability closures for FICS enables the company to provide lenders the highest level of protection, while demonstrating effective security practices and conformance with existing data protection laws and regulations.
