The FICS® Users' Conference is Just Around the Corner!

Every April for the past 30 years, FICS® has held its annual users’ conference in early spring, and this year is no different. It’s our pleasure to announce that the 31st annual users’ conference will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas-Frisco Hotel Convention Center & Spa from April 5-7, 2017.

The three-day event will kick off with opening remarks, dinner, and drinks. The next two days will include an opportunity to review enhancement requests and vote on the prioritization of these enhancements, as well as informative classes for all three software systems: Loan Producer®, Mortgage Servicer®, and Commercial Servicer®.

For Loan Producer, our sessions will include presentations on Rules OnDemand® and one of our new exciting workflow management tools, Automated Business Engine (ABE).  We will also discuss upcoming system changes related to the CFPB’s HMDA final rule that goes into effect January 1, 2018, and the implementation of the Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD). During the sessions, information regarding upcoming updates will be provided along with other informative topics.  A computer lab will be available for hands-on experience and sessions will also include an opportunity for open forum and roundtable discussions with other users.

The Mortgage Servicer sessions will include presentations of the latest system features and functionality and new features being added to the system, like the Dispute Resolution Tracking window for recording customer disputes. Upcoming regulatory changes will be discussed to include the new Investor Reporting Change Initiative for Freddie Mac® and CFPB regulations that will become effective in 2017. There will also be scheduled time allotted for networking.

Commercial Servicer sessions will include presentations by FICS previewing the new .NET version of Commercial Servicer available to users later this year. Additionally, a presentation of the new Commercial Servicer API will show users how they can take automation to the next level with the ability to schedule processes within Commercial Servicer. Workstations will be provided in the CS meeting room to give users a hands-on experience with the new look and feel of the next generation of Commercial Servicer.  A Tech presentation will review how best to prepare for implementing the .NET version of Commercial Servicer. Other sessions will include a review of the prior year’s regulatory enhancements and time for open forum discussions and networking.
