FICS' Dawn Gibbs Appointed To MISMO Board of Directors

DALLAS, Nov. 6, 2006 – Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS), a mortgage technology specialist that provides in-house residential origination and servicing technology and commercial servicing technology to the mortgage industry, announced the appointment of the company's president and CEO, Dawn Gibbs, to the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization, Inc. (MISMO) Board of Directors.

MISMO is the premier standards development body for the real estate finance industry. Gibbs joins four other directors in the effort to coordinate the development and maintenance of Internet-based Extensible Markup Language (XML) real estate finance specifications. Through an open and democratic process, MISMO delivers a common format for the electronic transfer of mortgage industry data. Mortgage Banking Association (MBA) chairman, Regina Lowrie, who represents the sole shareholder of its MISMO subsidiary, selects and appoints the seats on the board of directors. Gibbs has accepted the two-year appointment and will serve until July 2008.
