FICS Holds Successful 22nd Annual Users’ Conference
DALLAS, April 14, 2008 – Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS), a mortgage technology specialist that provides in-house residential origination and servicing technology and commercial servicing technology to the mortgage industry, held its Twenty Second Annual Users’ Conference on April 9-11 at the Marriott at Legacy Town Center in Plano, Texas.
This year, approximately 228 persons participated in the educational sessions, open forum and special interest group meetings. The event provided users of FICS’ technology solutions including, Commercial Servicer, Loan Producer, Mortgage Servicer, and their supporting software packages with valuable information and practical demonstrations on how they can achieve the optimum return on investment from these systems.
Dawn Gibbs, CEO and Chairman of the Board of FICS, presented her traditional opening remarks on Wednesday, April 9th. During her speech, she discussed the ongoing efforts of FICS, the recent and future deployment of BusinessObjects Enterprise Professional and Crystal Reports XI, the state of the financial services industry and the promotion of Susan Graham to President of FICS.
In her speech Gibbs stated, “The more that we learn about the questionable business practices of some within our industry, the more I become proud that you, our valued customers, have consistently done things the right way. This is evidenced by your attendance here tonight. Attendance at industry conferences is markedly reduced this year, but the attendance for our Users’ Conference is actually a little bit higher than last year.”
Because of your diligence and commitment to your customers and members, you have continued to succeed over the last year, and that has positively impacted us as well. The past year at FICS was not only lucrative, but a busy one indeed.”
Gibbs also mentioned the accolades FICS received in the past year, which include being selected as a finalist for Mortgage Technology magazine’s Lasting Impact Award at the 2007 MBA Annual Convention and being featured as a Technology All-Star in the March issue of Mortgage Banking.
FICS recognizes its annual Users’ Conference as a premier event and opportunity to spend valuable time with its customers – time that translates directly into system enhancements and innovations that directly impact users’ business.
“The annual Users' Conference offers our customers a chance to learn more about recent advances we have made with our technology, exchange ideas, learn more about the most effective and profitable ways to use our technology and to network with other FICS users,” said Gibbs.
