FICS Introduces eStatus Auto Draft Feature
- New feature improves customer service and convenience for borrowers and servicers -
CHICAGO Oct. 20, 2002 - Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS), a mortgage technology specialist that provides in-house origination and servicing technology to the mortgage industry, announced today at the 2002 MBA Annual Convention and Expo, the availability of an auto draft payment feature for use with its online, residential mortgage loan servicing tool, eStatus.
eStatus is an optional add-on product for FICS' Windows®-based, residential mortgage servicing system, Mortgage Servicer. eStatus enables borrowers to access their mortgage loan information online, which provides improved customer service and reduces customer call volume for servicing companies.
Until now, auto draft payments through Mortgage Servicer could only be established by the loan servicing company. With the new eStatus auto draft feature, borrowers will have the option to directly initiate either a one-time mortgage payment draft or a recurring payment draft, depending on their preferences, through their loan servicer's eStatus Web page.
FICS' Mortgage Servicer provides users with complete control over their residential loan data and management of the system as well as the ability to post payments in real-time, run reports on demand, provide immediate escrow analysis and quote payoffs on request. Built from the "ground-up", the system's 32-bit client/server application provides ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) relational databases, providing lenders with quick access to mortgage loan data and the ability for that data to work with supporting applications with the touch of a mouse.
"With eStatus, our Mortgage Servicer customers are able to strengthen their relationships with borrowers by giving them direct, online access to their pertinent loan data," said Dawn Gibbs, president and CEO of Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. "Through our new eStatus auto draft feature, we have taken this one step further by enabling our servicing customers to offer their borrowers more convenient options for making current and timely payments."
