Standard Mortgage Named Servicer of the Year by Mortgage Technology Magazine
- Lender honored for use of FICS software to automate and enhance servicing department -
DALLAS, Nov. 4, 2010 – Mortgage Technology Magazine named New Orleans-based Standard Mortgage, one of the South’s oldest and largest privately-held mortgage banking firms, “Servicer of the Year” at the 2010 Mortgage Technology Awards Ceremony held last week at the Mortgage Bankers Association’s 97th Annual Conference.
The “Servicer of the Year” award honors, “the servicer that best uses technology to ensure effective communications with borrowers, attorneys and lenders, and has enabled the optimal servicing of mortgage loans as a result.” Standard Mortgage was honored for their use of servicing software from Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS) for the past decade to ensure business continuity, enhance communications with borrower and investors and automate the process of managing their loan portfolio.
“FICS has been more than just a software company, they’ve been our partner for more than a decade,” said Glenn Weller, Standard Mortgage’s senior vice president of servicing. “Mortgage Servicer is the backbone of our servicing department, and the control it gives us over our database is vital to running a successful department.”
Standard Mortgage utilizes FICS’ Mortgage Servicer, a residential loan servicing software, which includes tools for automating all aspects of the servicing process; eStatus, which gives borrowers real-time access to loan information via the Internet; and RADSTAR, an electronic document and report storage system that automatically writes reports and documents into an indexed database. Standard Mortgage’s origination operations also uses FICS’ Loan Producer, a residential loan origination software, which is directly linked to Mortgage Servicer and guarantees loan data integrity standards.
“Standard Mortgage has spent the past ten years embracing the use of FICS’ technology to exceed customer expectations, profitably service loans and meet investor demands.” said Susan Graham, president of FICS. “We are proud to be a partner with Standard Mortgage.”
